To qualify for this award, you must:
Have lettered in your high school program (swimming, diving, or water polo) your senior year. A copy of your transcript is required. Home Schooled student-athletes applying for All America Academics must meet the same requirements as a public school or independent student-athlete.

The Academic All-America program is a student-athlete recognition program. The program selects an honorary sports team composed of the most outstanding student-athletes of a specific season for positions in various sports—who in turn are given the honorific “Academic All-American”.
